What we collect
- The business details you enter: business type, description, city, state, and the facts you check.
- Your email address, used to deliver your report and to reply if you write to us.
- A hashed form of your IP address, used only to limit abuse. We do not store the raw address.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation and the amount, never your card number.
- Basic, cookie-free page and interaction analytics from Vercel Analytics, such as form submissions and checkout attempts. These analytics exclude your business details, email address, report ID, and access token.
- Google Analytics measures visits to public pages using cookies and browser/device information. We send public page paths without query strings or fragments and exclude private report pages and marked verification visits. We do not send form contents or report access tokens to Google Analytics, and advertising signals are disabled.
- If you arrive through one of our campaign links, a fixed campaign label is kept for the browser tab’s session and included with interaction analytics. When you request a report, we also save that label with the report to understand which campaigns lead to requests and purchases. We do not save arbitrary campaign text or the full landing URL for this purpose.
How we use it
To research and deliver your report, to email you about it, to prevent abuse, to improve the research, and to understand how people find the service. Research for a business type, location, and selected facts may be reused to speed up later reports for the same combination. Reports with a description you wrote are excluded from this shared research cache. Your email address is never included in shared research.
Processors
Vercel (hosting and analytics), Google (public-page analytics), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email) help operate the service. OpenRouter routes research requests to model providers, including OpenAI. TinyFish supplies web search and page retrieval. Your business details are sent to the research model, and search queries may include those details to find relevant requirements. Your report email address is not part of the research input. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
Reports are kept so your permanent link keeps working. Email support@whatlicenses.com from the address on the report to have it and your email deleted.
