WhatLicenses produces research reports that summarize licenses, permits, registrations, and related requirements published by government agencies for a business type and location you describe. Reports are compiled by automated research against public sources and are delivered as a web page and by email.

Reports are informational. They are not legal advice, tax advice, or a guarantee that a list is complete or current. Government requirements change and depend on facts about your business that we may not have. You are responsible for confirming each requirement with the issuing agency or a licensed professional before relying on it.
Your inputs
You agree to provide accurate information about the business and location. Reports are researched for the description you give; a different description can produce different requirements.
Payment and refunds
The preview is free. The full report is a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout, processed by Stripe. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.
Access links
Each report is available at a private link that includes an access token. Anyone with the link can view the report. Do not share it if you want it to stay private.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WhatLicenses is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for fines, penalties, delays, or losses arising from reliance on a report. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the report at issue.
